Australian Amateur: Watt, Sinnott share lead
SOUTH OAKLEY, VICTORIA, Australia (Jan. 15, 2013) -- In-form West Australian Brady Watt and Victorian Todd Sinnott share the lead at 6-under par after the first round of qualifying at Commonwealth and Woodlands Golf Clubs in Melbourne.
Watt recorded eight birdies and two bogeys at Woodlands while Sinnott finished with seven birdies and a bogey at Commonwealth.
The pair are two strokes ahead of Queenslander Taylor MacDonald and New South Welshman Dale Brandt-Richards who finished with 68s.
Queenslander Viraat Badhwar finished with a 3-under par 69 to be in outright fifth. The second round of qualifying is held on Wednesday.
