AGC Wine Country Cup: Results and Rd 2 Pairings

NOVATO, CA (February 25th, 2006)

A fine spring day brought perfect weather conditions at StoneTree Golf Club for the annual Wine Country Cup. There was no argument that the course, though in great shape, was most challenging with tight fairways and fast, undulating greens.

Josh Bleyle from Mill Valley, CA shot the low round of 74 – showing how difficult the course was playing. Bob Niger and Patrick Pernice are poised just one shot back ready to attack in the second round on Sunday.

Senior Frank Abbott shot a solid 73 to take the lead by one stroke from Dave Carroll. Seven players within 4 strokes of the lead will make it an interesting finish tomorrow.

Gary Koshaba has a huge 4 stroke lead in the Net Division.
