PINEHURST, N.C. (Dec. 29, 2012) -- Joshua Martin successfully defended his Donald Ross Junior title on Saturday, firing a second-consecutive 70 to clear Ben Griffin and Carter Jenkins by a single shot at Pinehurst in North Carolina.

Martin, a high school sophomore, is the fourth player to defend his Donald Ross title and only the sixth to win multiple championships.

In the 12-14 age division, Virginia native Nathan Chuwait (70-66) won by three shots. He had seven birdies and an eagle over his two rounds at Pinehurst's No. 1 Course.

In the youngest age division (11 and under), Grayson Wotnosky beat Akshay Bhatia by a single shot behind rounds of 72-74.

The 12-14 and 11-and-under divisions both play Pinehurst No. 1, while the 15-18 division rotates between Pinehurst Nos. 4 and 5.

36-hole stroke play championship. Entries are open to male & female golfers who are age 18 or under, and have NOT completed high school. Play will be contested in three age divisions: 11 & Under Division, 12-14 Division, and 15-18 Division. Optional Parent/Child Tournament (Chapman/Pinehurst format) after the event.
