Dixie Senior: Brady Exber takes lead entering final round
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (Dec. 14, 2012) -- Las Vegas, Nev., resident Brady Exber shot a second consecutive round of 67 to take a one-shot lead into Saturday’s final round of the Dixie Senior Amateur at Heron Bay Golf Club.

First-round leader Dick Pfiel of Naples, Fla., could do no better than par 72 in the sunny but breezy conditions and sits in a tie for third place at 8-under, 136. Pfiel is tied with Sarasota, Fla., resident John Vaccaro, one stroke back of Fort Lauderdale’s Peter Wegmann who had the day’s low round, a 65. Seven-time winner Rick Woulfe, also of Fort Lauderdale, is fifth, just three shots out of the lead after a 69.

In the Super Senior division, there is a three-way tie for the lead as Tom Knapp and Pat Vincelli joined first-round leader Bill Dorece at 2-under par 142. Dorece, another local resident in Pompano Beach, was the only Super Senior under par the first day. He had a 72 Friday.

Knapp, from up the road in Tequesta, posted a 69, the low score of the division so far while Stuart, Fla., resident Vincelli came in with 70.

Heron Bay Golf Club, a ClubLink facility, is playing at 6,500 yards for the senior division and 6,100 yards for the super seniors.

The men’s amateur championship begins Dec. 18 and will be contested on three ClubLink courses – Heron Bay, Woodlands Country Club and Palm Aire Country Club.
