FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (Oct. 5, 2012) -- As the PGA Tour Fall Series began at TPC Summerlin just outside of Las Vegas, some players were caught by surprise to see temperatures soar into the triple digits earlier in the week.

Another surprise was also waiting for Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists in the field – white boxes filled with new Pro V1 and Pro V1x prototype golf balls. And as many players have told Titleist, when they see the white boxes show up on tour, they know something exciting is waiting for them inside.

Team Titleist hopped on a plane and headed to Vegas to cover the action as the Titleist Golf Ball R&D Staff started the tour seeding and performance validation process with the players at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.

In the video above, Team Titleist caught up with Michael Mahoney, Director of Golf Ball Product Management, and Fordie Pitts, Titleist Golf Ball Tour Rep, to talk about the seeding process and get a closer look at the road to a tour introduction. We also chatted with Jason Bohn and Charley Hoffman to get their take on what it's like working with the Titleist R&D team and hear some first impressions on the prototype Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls.
