ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. (Oct. 14, 2012) -- Jack Maguire fired a second-straight 2-under 68 and rolled to a five-shot victory at the 2012 St. Augustine Amateur at St. John's Golf Club.

Maguire opened the event with a 1-over 71 and trailed first-round leader Eric Hallberg by five shots. He gained the lead after Round 2 and hung on with a final-round 68.

Cyril Suk and Jack Watson were tied for second at 2-over for the event while Hallberg finished 3-over, finishing 72-71 for a three-day score of 212. Jose Montana was tied with Hallberg for fourth.

ABOUT THE St. Augustine Amateur

54 hole stroke play event for better amateurs and collegiate players. The field will be limited to 84 players, with no cut. The tournament is open to Amateurs only whose entry has been accepted by the Tournament Committee however there is an open qualifier several weeks prior to the event - contact the Tournament Committee or visit the website for details.

Unless prior arrangements are made with the approval of the Committee, competitors must walk during the competition.
