ST. GEORGE, UT (January 22, 2006) -- For the second straight year Richard Church and Afa Vasi tied with Dustin Pimm and Nick Micek to share the UGA 2-Man Championship held this weekend at Sunbrook and Entrada Golf Courses.
Last year the two teams tied with a two-day total of 131, and this year they improved on that and finished tied at 129. They each shot 71 in the four-ball format at Sunbrook and then each shot an incredible 58 in the scramble format at Entrada.
The two teams were paired together for the final round and Vasi and Church shot nine-under par 26 on the front nine to gain an early edge. Pimm and Micek birdied the 17th hole while Vasi and Church had their only bogey of the day on that hole and that squared the score.
