Australian Sr.: Vandersluis holds lead as Round 2 postponed
VICTORIA, Australia (Sept. 5, 2012) -- Play has been canceled Wednesday due to strong winds. All scores will be null and void with Round 2 commencing Thursday. Thursday's second round will be the final round.


New South Welshman Roy Vandersluis leads the Australian Men’s Senior Amateur by one stroke after the opening round at Yarra Yarra Golf Club in Melbourne.

Vandersluis finished with a 3-over par 75 to lead Australia’s Number 2 ranked senior Peter King (QLD) and fellow New South Welshman Martin Turner who finished with 76s.In warm and windy conditions, defending champion Stefan Albinski opened with a 7-over par 79 to sit in 15th place.David Limbach (NSW) recorded one of the day’s highlights with an ace on the par 3 11th hole.Kiwi John Rademakers is the leading international player in 10th place following a 78.
