Florida Mid-Senior: Trio shares lead
LONGBOAT KEY (Aug. 24, 2012) -- Rob Maddox, Chris Berens, and Doug Snoap share the lead heading into the second round of play at the Mid-Senior Championship at the Longboat Key Club in Longboat Key. Second round tee-times begin at 7:30 am.
Playing the Harbourside course, Rob Maddox, from Lynn Haven, recorded a first round of three-under par 69 in excellent conditions to share the lead with Chris Berens, of Mount Dora and Doug Snoap, of Apopka. Berens and Snoap played the Islandside course in the first round of play. Other notable players in the mix include the 2012 Florida Senior Open Champion, Pete Williams, of Juno Beach, who fired a two-under par 70 on the Islandside course and multiple state champion Tim Hume, of Tampa, who posted a first round of one-under par 71 on the Islandside course.
