NAPLES, Fla. - Mike Bell of Indianapolis made a three footer for par Thursday to win the Society of Seniors' Ralph Bogart Memorial Winter Invitational golf tournament for the second year in a row.

Bell and Mike Rice of Houston, Texas, winner of the U.S. Senior Amateur Championship earlier this fall, tied at three under par 213 on the North course at the Club at Mediterra on final round scores of 72 and 71. Bell, the second round leader here Wednesday, won last year at one over par 217 at the nearby Club at TwinEagles.

Rice bogied the par-4 18th hole.

Bob Davis of East Lansing, Mich., and Fort Myers, won the super seniors division for players 70 and older with 233 on rounds of 77-79-77.

John Gibbs of Oneonta, Ala., one of the founders of The Golf Channel, had the low round of the day, a 68 with 30 on the front nine which included a hole-in-one with a 6-iron at the 170-yard eighth hole. He finished at 219, tied for eighth.

This was the fourth and final event of the year for the Society of Seniors, begun in 1983, an organization of senior amateur golfers 55 years and older with handicaps of three or less. This was the 23rd staging of the Bogart.
