Kaufman, who earlier in the summer won the SDGA Mixed Team Championship (with Max Donohue) and was a semifinalist in the US Women's Amateur Public Links Championship, fired rounds of 70-71-70 for a three-day total of 5-under-par 211 at Brookings Country Club this weekend to win by 14 strokes. This is Kaufman's second consecutive Women's Amateur Championship victory and her third in the past four years. Maggie Murphy of Sioux Falls was the runner-up at 225. Karla Murra finished in third place at 231.

Lauren Fitts of Brookings won the first flight at 244. Kali Trautman won the second flight at 251.

Also at Brookings Country Club, Jenny Coluccio, who won the Husband-Wife with Brett Coluccio, the Two-Woman Championship with Dani Bellet, and took runner-up in the Women's Match Play Championship, was named the 2012 Players Cup winner. The Players Cup is awarded to the top point-earner in the Two-Woman, Match Play, and Women's Amateur Championships.
