Heart of America: Brackets taking shape
RAYMOOR, Mo. (Aug. 1, 2012) -- Hot and windless conditions prevailed during the second round of stroke play qualifying today in Raymore. Fifty-six teams competed today for a coveted spot in the match play brackets of the Heart of America Championship.

In the Open Division, Austin Conroy and Michael McDonnell led all teams with a two round total of 129 (-15). The duo wrestled away the top spot of the sixteen player match play bracket and enter tomorrow’s match play making more birdies than anyone in the field.

In the Senior division, Lynn Dickey and Rob Gleissner took home medalist honors, scorching the field with rounds of 65 and 64. The two played their last twenty seven holes in fifteen under par to claim the top spot in tomorrow’s Senior bracket.

ABOUT THE Heart of America Four-Ball

Stroke play qualifying with low (32 championship and 16 senior teams) advancing to match play. Open to any male amateur golfer with an active USGA handicap index. Championship teams combined index must be 10.0 or less. Senior teams combined index must be 14.0 or less.
