MEMPHIS, Tenn. (July 31, 2012) -- Project X and Dynamic Gold by True Temper Sports delivered world-class accuracy and consistency in pro events around the world this past weekend. These two high-performance shaft brands won the RBC Canadian Open on the PGA Tour, the Austrian Open on the European Tour and the Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational on the Web.com Tour.
Trusting Dynamic Gold, the RBC Canadian Open scored four straight birdies early on Sunday. The young champion closed with a par on the 18th hole that tied the oldest 72-hole scoring record on the PGA TOUR. He finished at 17 under par to capture his second PGA TOUR victory.
On the European Tour, the first and second place finishers of the hard-fought Austrian Open both had Project X in the bag this weekend. The champion plays Project X in his irons and Project X graphite in his 3-wood, and the runner-up played the new Project X Black in his driver and 3-wood and the new Project X PXi in his irons.
Not to be outdone for drama or flair, this week's winner at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational made his debut appearance on the Web.com Tour an unforgettable one. Playing Project X, the All-American collegiate became only the 13th player in Tour history to win in his first professional start.
"Dynamic Golf and Project X have accounted for more wins on the global tours this season than any other shaft brand in the game," says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports.
