Edmundson wins Bubba Conlee
BARTLETT, Tenn. (July 21, 2012) -- As 15-year-old Noah Edmondson sauntered down the fairway toward Quail Ridge Golf Course's 11th green, a parent in the gallery called attention to the North Carolina native.
"See this kid in the Carolina blue?" the parent said. "His name is Noah 'Get down Freddie Brown' Edmondson."
The thing was, that wasn't Edmondson's dad. And while the moniker might be too cumbersome to last, it certainly described his play on a day when he shot a 4-under 66 to pull away and win the 32nd Bubba Conlee National Junior Golf Tournament by five strokes with a 6-under 204 score.
