Strangstalien wins Wisconsin State Amateur
By NICK SUNDERLAND-SAIED Wisconsin State Journal

KENOSHA, Wis. (July 19, 2012) — Thursday’s final-round of the 111th WSGA State Amateur Championship proved to be the biggest moment to date in Brady Strangstalien’s golfing career.

The timing was fitting considering the biggest event so far in the 24-year-old Westby native’s life will come tonight.

On the eve of his marriage to high school sweetheart Whitney Stoker, Strangstalien carded an even-par 72 at The Club at Strawberry Creek to finish tournament play at 6-under 282, good enough to edge Sam Frank (74) by one stroke for the title.
