The official Darrell Survey equipment count from the AT&T National revealed that 14 golfers put the Titleist 913 driver in play during its first week on the PGA Tour.
The total count for Titleist drivers at the AT&T was 34, with 20 golfers using the 910 or other previous Titleist models.
TaylorMade led the driver count at the AT&T with 52.
Three players (Bud Cauley, Tom Gillis and John Merrick) used the 460-CC Titleist 913D2.
Meanwhile, 11 players went for the 445-CC 913D3: Mark Anderson, Ben Curtis, Brendon de Jonge, Martin Flores, Hunter Haas, K.T. Kim, S.Y. Noh, Tom Pernice, D.J. Trahan, Nick Watney and Gary Woodland.
Woodland’s decision to become an early adopter is interesting and perhaps predictable. Although Woodland is considered by many observers to be the longest hitter in golf, he likes to work the ball and keep it in play. Heading into the AT&T, he ranked just 16th in driving distance with a 300.4-yard average.
