OMAHA, Neb. (June 13, 2012) -- Steve Samuelson of Fremont shot a 2-over par 73 Wednesday to take a one shot lead following 18-holes of play in the 14th Nebraska Senior Amateur Championship at Omaha's Players Club. 2006 champion Mike Krumland of Columbus and Rick Dusek of Omaha are tied for 2nd at 74. 2008 champion, John Sajevic of Fremont and Jim Derby of Omaha are two shots back at 75. Dusek and Samuelson are past state mid-amateur champions.

In divisional action, Bill Lamme of Omaha leads both the gross and net divisions of the 58-64 age division with a 77/72 and Gary Bowen of Omaha leads both the gross and net in the 65 and older group with a 75/69. Bowen won the senior amateur in 2001. Net leaders in the 50-57 division include James Hobbs of Plainview and Jon Misfeldt of Columbus at 73.
