Olympia Fields Four-Ball: Nurski, Korell win
OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. (June 1, 2012) -- The team of Brad Nurski and Mark Korell prevailed in a three-team playoff to win the 2012 Olympia Fields Country Club Four-Ball Invitational.

Nurski and Korell, who won on the third playoff hole, finished the two-day event at 68-68-136 knotted wtih two other groups --- Charles Anderson and Tom Werkmeister (69-67) and Glenn Pybylski and Michael Fastert (67-69).

The three groups finished five shots ahead of the remainder of the field. Two teams --- Miles McConnell and Thad Coontz (71-70) and Kyle Maxwell and Mike Parker (70-71) --- finished tied for fourth at 141.

In the senior division, Dick Satterfield and Steve Cosler won by two shots over Tim Cox and Scott Blasie. The winnng team fired a first-round 73 and followed it up with a red-hot 70 to win wire-to-wire.

ABOUT THE Olympia Fields Four-Ball

Tournament is 36 holes, 18 on the North and 18 on the South. North course is the more famous, having hosted the US Open. But the South Course, renovated in 2008 is now the preferred club of the members and is slated to host several important professional and amateur tournaments in the coming years.

This is an invitational event with entries usually being sent to US Mid Amateur qualifiers and other players of note.
