Rogers and Riddle win KSGA Senior Two-Man Team Championship

LEXINGTON, Ky (May 15, 2012) -- Sunny skies, a light breeze and temperatures in the mid 70’s made for pleasant playing conditions for Kentucky Senior Golf Association members competing in today’s final round.

152 players making up 76 two-man teams teed it up to decide gross and net winners within the Championship, Handicap and 65 & Over Flights.

Steve Rogers and Jimmy Riddle paired to take home low gross honors at 63-65--128.

The duo of Tom Waterbury and Albert Gehringer (56-59--115) captured low net honors after complimenting their blistering day 1 total with an equally impressive final round.

Overall low gross medalists Rogers and Riddle finished atop the Championship Flight. While overall low net Champions Waterbury and Gehringer also captured Handicap Flight 2 low net honors.

The team of Jim Orr and Tim Cushman fired 62-60--122 to take low net in Handicap Flight 1.

Larry Grasch and Gary Smith (66-69--135, low gross) & Bruce Springate and David Cheese (64-61--125, low net) proved that experience pays off with their wins in the 65 & Over Flight.

FORMAT: 18 Hole Chapman Alternate Shot (gross & net) - Day 1
18 Hole Four-Ball (gross & net) - Day 2

Open flight (gross scoring only) plus Mid-Senior, Senior, Masters and Legends flights (with gross and net scoring).

Entrants in all KGA tournaments shall be required to have an active Handicap Index at a Kentucky Golf Association Member Club at the time of entry and meet the championship’s residency requirements.
