Burke Memorial final round rescheduled
NEWPORT, R.I. (May 9, 2012) -- Play has been cancelled for today May 9th. Shelter Harbor has been rescheduled for Tuesday, May 15th. A date will be forthcoming for Newport soon.Brad Valois and Bobby Leopold hold the first round lead after shooting 1 under par 70 at Shelter Harbor. Defending champion Charlie Blanchard is 1 stroke back after shooting even par 71. In the Senior Division David McNally leads Paul Quigley after shooting 2 over par 73.
ABOUT THE John P. Burke Memorial
36-hole stroke play tournament played over two
weekends, with gross and net competitions. Players
age
55 and over will compete simultaneously in tournament
proper and senior division. Eligibility: All amateur
golfers who are a member at RIGA member club and
hold a RIGA membership.
