Dickey III wins SCGA Coronado Classic
CORONADO, Calif. (May 6, 2012) -- Perry Dickey III posted the only sub-par round today to win the SCGA Coronado Classic with a 36-hole total of 76-70--146. Dickey III, who plays out of the Taylormade Adidas Golf Club, entered the day with a two shot deficit to first round leader Paul Guy, Callaway Golf Club. Guy's second round 79 landed him in a three-way tie for third place with Tom Sugameli (Achusnet Golf Club) 78-75--153 and Jason Knill (Torrey Pines Golf Club) 75-78--153.

Francisco Reynoso carded 78-73--151 to finish alone in second place.

ABOUT THE George Collup Coronado Classic

This championship is formerly the PLGA George Collup Coronado Classic; the SCGA took over running this tournament as of 2011.

ELIGIBILITY: This championship is open to amateurs who are members of a current SCGA member club with an established current index as of the date of registration. Entrants must be at least 18 years old. All entrants must be a member of a club who has a handicap chairman who has successfully completed the SCGA’s certified Handicap Chair program within the last four years.

FORMAT: The championship is a 36-hole individual net stroke play event, there is no qualifying as all entries are on a first come, first served basis. A total of 120 players will compete for the Championship which will be divided into flights of different handicap levels.
