Linstrom/Clapp lead at the Colorado Four-Ball Championship
Westminster, CO (May 5, 2012) -- Jon Lindstrom and Dean Clapp went bogey-free Saturday and gained sole possession of the lead after two rounds of the CGA Four-Ball Championship at Legacy Ridge Golf Course in Westminster.

Lindstrom and Clapp, who play out of the Heritage at Westmoor and Meadow Hills, respectively, fired a 6-under-par 65 in the better-ball format and grabbed a two-stroke lead at 13-under-par 129. They made an eagle and four birdies on Saturday. Both players will be seeking their second CGA Four-Ball title as each previously won with different partners.

Jim Doidge of Pueblo Country Club, who claimed the 2005 Four-Ball championship with Clapp, is paired with Michael Harrington of Garden of the Gods Club this year, and they share second place at 131. Also at that figure are Brian Richmeier and Andy Dannewitz of Meadow Hills. Defending champions Danny Riskam and Pete Mangold lead a group at 132.

In the senior division, three teams share the lead at 7-under-par 135. Tied for the top spot are Guy Mertz and Tony Workman of the Fox Hill Club (67-68), Kelly Crone and Larry Netherton of Highlands Ranch Golf Club (69-66), and Bob Chandler and Gary Albrecht of CommonGround Golf Course (67-68).
