Brandes wins Washington Champion of Champions
DUPONT, Wash. (April 25, 2012) -- Tom Brandes of Bellevue, Wash. took home the Washington State Champion of Champions by three shots following a final-round 70.

Brandes, who shot an opening-round 72 edged Sean Packer of Seattle and Keith Crimp of Ellensburg, Wash. by three shots.

Packer fired an impressive 66 in Wednesday's final round --- the low round of the event --- to get back into contention following a 79 in the first round but it wasn't enough.

Katie Lee of Sliverdale, Wash. is alone in fourth after a final-round 79, which followed a first-round 68.

Craig Larson of Tacoma rounds out the Top 5, finishing one shot behind Lee.

Format: 36-hole gross stroke play competition. Men’s and Women’s Championships run concurrently.

Age Limit: No age limit

Handicap Limit: No handicap limit

Field Limit: Open to the first 57 male players and 27 female players to complete an entry form and meet at least one of the below requirements:

Current year (January 1 – October 1) Club Champion of a WSGA Member Club.

Current year champion of a WSGA Championship excluding the Member Club Team, the Men’s and Women’s Best-Ball’s and the Parent–Child.

Top-5 on the WSGA Women’s Performance Points List as of October 1.

Top-10 on the WSGA Men’s Performance Points List as of October 1.

Current year WJGA State Junior Boys and Girls Champion.

Current year champion of any event on the WSGA Performance Points List.
