MEMPHIS, Tenn. (April 25, 2012) -- True Temper shafts has chalked up its sixth consecutive win on the PGA TOUR at the Valero Texas Open in San Antonio this weekend. True Temper's Dynamic Gold, Project X and Grafalloy shafts heated up the leaderboard to capture the win and all Top 10 money positions.

In his first-ever start at the Valero Texas Open, the former British Open champion held off contenders in a tense back-nine battle on Sunday, and captured his fourth PGA TOUR event with a nine-under par finish. He ranked No. 1 in Greens in Regulation for the tournament, trusting Dynamic Gold shafts in his irons.

"All of our shaft brands had a great showing at this weekend's event with Dynamic Gold in the winner's circle and Project X and Grafalloy shafts in the bags of the two runner ups," says Chad Hall, director of product marketing and global tour operations for True Temper Sports. "True Temper continues to lead on the PGA Tour with 135 sets in play at the Valero Texas Open and all of the Top 10 players trusting shafts designed and manufactured by True Temper."

Featuring an internal tip reinforcement technology and tighter weight sorting tolerance for precision custom fitting, Dynamic Gold shafts are preferred by skilled players who often want a low, penetrating ball flight. Dynamic Gold shafts are available in tapered and parallel irons and parallel woods.
