Ogmore by Sea, Bridgend, Wales (April 14, 2012) -- 25-year-old Ryan Evans of Wellingborough Golf Club takes a one shot lead into the final day of the Duncan Putter with a 36-hole score of 139 - one under par. One shot behind on level par are Craig Adams (Farrington) and Joshua White (Chipstead). The best score in Round 2 came from Jean-Michel Hall (pictured - Whittlebury Park) with an impressive 66, taking him to 142 alongside Ed Richardson (Hemstead Forest). Welsh hopefuls Ben Westgate (Trevose & Southerndown), Will Jones (Oswestry) and Richard Hooper (Neath) are all poised in the wings, just 4 shots off the lead on 143. The cut for the second day was made at 151. Round 2 scores - see pdf below. The draw for Sunday's play will appear in Bulletin 12 shortly.

ABOUT THE Duncan Putter

The Duncan Putter is the first of the Welsh Order of Merit events and gives International and Walker Cup selectors a chance to assess early season form. The format is 72 holes of stroke play played over three days.

Competitors come from Wales, the UK and increasingly from Europe, too.
