Four other players are two strokes back at 1-under par and two players are at even par. Seventeen players are within five strokes of the lead.

In the Women's Division, Mary Budke of Eugene, Ore. and Karla Kalian of Brush Prairie, Wash. lead the field at 7-over par thru 16 holes. Just one stroke back is long time rival Marcia Fisher of Canby, Ore. They were the only group unable to complete their first round of play due to darkness, and will finish their round at 8am tomorrow.
