Hattiesburg, MS (March 25, 2012) -- Defending Champion, Clay Homan took home his fourth Mid Amateur Championship Title posting 6-under, 67-71-72--210 in the 54-hole event. The 2012 win accompanies championships at Colonial-Deerfield (2007), Laurel (2010) and Dancing Rabbit (2011).

Two strokes separated medalists, Homan and Willis, at the start of the final round with Willis in the lead. Homan, of Starkville, began to pull ahead following an eagle on the ninth hole.

Conditions appeared to be more difficult for the leaders, as Homan posted 72 in the final round and Willis posted 77 to finish at 3-under. Ben Snow posted a two-under 70 in the final round to finish in third place, two under total for the tournament.
