Emory/Foshee lead at the Georgia Four-Ball Golf
HAWKINSVILLE, Ga. (March 24, 2012) -- After round two of the Georgia Four-Ball Tournament, the Macon duo of Ryan Emory and Billy Foshee lead all at 12-under-par 132. Emory and Foshee turned in a tournament-low 64 on Saturday to take a one stroke lead into Sunday’s final round over Clay Gardner of Newnan and Fayetteville’s John Miles, who have a 36-hole score of 11-under-par 133 (68-65). Three teams are tied for third at 9-under-par 135 and will begin the final round three strokes off the leaders.
The Championship through third flights, which are eligible for the overall title, are competing at Southern Hills Golf Club in Hawkinsville. The fourth through seventh flights are at Houston Lakes Country Club in Perry.

The Georgia Four-Ball Tournament, held annually
since 1989, is open
to male amateur golfers who are GSGA members
and are residents of
Georgia. The format is four-ball stroke play.
Entries: Open to two-man teams of male
amateur golfers who have combined USGA
Handicap Indexes of 4.0 and above and a
maximum differential of 6 strokes
Field: 96 teams -- 82 teams determined by
lottery, three spots reserved for each host
club and one spot reserved for each of the
previous year's flight winners
