John Hayt Collegiate: Central Florida maintains lead
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- UCF continues to lead the team competition with a 36-hole tally of 588.
North Texas, Arkansas and Tennessee are all tied for second at 591 followed by TCU (593), North Florida, LSU (596), Jacksonville (597), Tulsa (597), Coastal Carolina (598), UAB (600), Ole Miss (606), Georgia Southern (608), Furman (612) and Mercer (617). TCU's Julien Bren (68-71=139) posted a second straight under-par round and leads the individual medalist competition by a shot over Horned Frog teammate Johan de Beer (140) and opening round leader Sang Yi (140) of LSU.
No. 13-ranked North Florida moved up to sixth place in the team standings Monday after posting a second round 295 at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational played at Sawgrass Country Club. The Opsreys, who trimmed five strokes off their opening round performance, ended the round with a two-day total of 595 climbing up a spot in the team standings headed into Tuesday's final round.
