Leonard and Sachs take Moot Thomas Invitational titles
Ocala, Fla. (Feb. 26, 2012) -- Poor weather forced the cancellation of the final round of the Moot Thomas Invitational leaving Bill Leonard of Dallas, Ga on top in the Senior division and Brian Sachs as the winner in the Super Senior division.
Leonard was 5 strokes clear of the field, carding rounds of 71-72--143, as the tournament was called. AJ Kroeger from Apopka, Fla. finished second with rounds of 74-74--148.
Brian Sachs of Newberry , Fla. turned in rounds of 75-75--150 which just beat Dane Spannbauer, Green Cove Springs, Fla. (77-74--151) and Boyd Johnson, Statesboro, GA (76-75--151).

ABOUT THE Moot Thomas Invitational
54 hole stroke play championship for men 55 years
of
age or older. Super Senior division must be 65 or
older,
Legends division must be 70 years or older, and
Super Legends must be 75 years or older. The
tournament honors Moot Thomas, an Ocala native
and
FSGA Hall of Famer who had a lengthy and
successful
amateur career.
