New Year's Invitational: Stephan Jaegar leads by four
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (Jan. 7, 2012) -- Stephan Jaegar fired a 7-under 65 and holds a four-shot advantage following second-round play at the 2012 New Year's Invitational at St. Petersburg Country Club.
Jaegar followed up a first-round 69 with the spectacular 65 to take the lead.
Michael McGowan, who struggled with an opening-round 73, also fired 7-under 65 and is knotted in a three way tie for second place along with Garland Green (72-66--138), Mike Furci (69-69--138) and Nick Austin (72-67--138).
Dave Bunker leads the mid-am division after shooting a second-round 71. He leads by one shot over Billy Williamson.
Stuart Sierra is a one-shot leader in the senior division. His 77-75--152 is one shot better than Thomas Hyland, who followed up a 77 in the first round with a second-round 76.
Ian Clarke is pacing the mid-senior division, leading by 10 shots after Round 2.
