John Bryan Cup: Old Waverly bests Tupelo Country Club

West Point, Miss. (Nov. 20, 2011) -- Old Waverly held on to their first round lead to win the 2011 John Bryan Cup by five strokes over Tupelo Country Club. Medalist honors went to Chad Ramey at 7 under par 137. Ramey’s opening round of 65 helped lead Fulton Country Club to a fourth place finish. Alone in third place is the Country Club of Jackson. Alex Rowland led the Old Waverly team with a four under par 140.

ABOUT THE John Bryan Cup

Field size is limited to the first 16 paid teams. The tournament is scheduled for 36-holes of college tournament format. Each team will use the four lowest scores of the five players each day for the team total.

Open to all MGA member clubs in good standing. All team members must be a regular member of the course/club they are representing. Because of the limited field a club may only send one team.
