ABOUT THE NCGA Mixed Team
First played in 2005, the NCGA Mixed Championship
is a two-
person handicap event for male/female NCGA
members. A team needs to qualify for this
championship by placing among the top
56 teams on the Mixed Team Series Points List.
FORMAT: Chapman (Mixed Team) - 36 Holes. In this
format, two competitors play as
partners as one side. Both players on a side tee off
from their respective tees. Then
Player A plays Player B's drive, and vice-versa.
Players then select the better of the
second shots, and from that point play alternate shot
until the ball is holed. Flights
will be determined by combining the Handicap Index
of both players on the team.
Team Handicaps will be computed by combining 60%
of the lower Course Handicap
and 40% of the higher Course Handicap.
