St. Augustine Amateur: Crouch leads by one
ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida – (Oct. 14, 2011) –- Local high school senior A.J. Crouch leads the St. Augustine Amateur with 2-under-par 68 today. Crouch, 18, of The Bolles School shot 35-33 for a 68 to finish Friday’s play. Crouch had 4 birdies and an eagle to take a one stroke lead over Jim Liu.
Liu, 16, of Smithtown, NY shot 34-35 to finish with a 1-under-par 69. Liu, the 2010 USGA Junior Amateur Champion had 3 birdies in his round to match Crouch as the only two players in the field under par.
The talented field features 14 players trailing Crouch by no more than 4 strokes. Prem Samritpricha of Bradenton, Florida finds himself currently in 3rd place at an even par 70. Samritpricha came back from a double bogey on his 7th hole of the day with a 1-under-par 34 on the back to match his 1 over par 36 on the front.

amateurs
and collegiate players. The field will be
limited
to 84 players, with no cut. The tournament
is
open to Amateurs only whose entry has been
accepted by the Tournament Committee
however there is an open qualifier several
weeks prior to the event - contact the
Tournament Committee or visit the website

details.
Unless prior arrangements are made with
the
approval of the Committee, competitors
must
walk during the competition.
