Patty Moore wins the Carolinas Women's Senior
CALLAWASSIE ISLAND, SC (Oct 12, 2011) - Patty Moore of Charlotte, NC captured her 15th CGA Championship title and wins the 13th Carolinas Women's Senior Championship by three strokes over Pat Brogden of Garner, NC. Moore said this win was an extra special moment for her. "I've been struggling with my swing a little and it's been a while since I have won an individual title so this really makes me appreciate this win even more."

Moore carded two birdies on the day to shoot an even par round of 72-144. "My putter was kind to me this week on these fast bermuda greens. I also received a tip from a friend on the driving range after the first round that seemed to be a good swing thought for me. I'm very happy."

This win marks six times Moore has held the Carolinas Women's Senior Amateur trophy.

Defending champion, Pat Brogden of Garner, NC finished alone in second place three shots back. "I just couldn't gain any extra ground," Brogden said.
