Chapman/Harrison win KGA Mid-Am Team Championship
WICHITA, KS (Oct. 5, 2011) -- Tyler Chapman, Wichita and Derek Harrison, Wellington held the lead following the first round and never looked back as they cruised to a five shot victory at the 27th Mid-Amateur Team Championship at Wichita Country Club. Chapman and Harrison finished the 54-hole championship at 18-under par 195.

Two teams with previous Mid-Am Team victories tied for second place at 13-under par 200. Tracy Chamberlin and Steve Newman were Mid-Am Team victors in 2004 and Pete Krsnich and Luke Trammell took home the title in 2009.

ABOUT THE Kansas Mid-Amateur & Senior Team

Team event with three divisions (Mid-Amateur, Senior, Super Senior). Gross & net scoring for all teams.

54 holes of team stroke play contested over two days. 36 holes on day one, 18 holes on day two. Different format each round. There is no cut.

Daily Formats:
Round One - Shamble
Round Two - Foursomes
Round Three - Four-Ball

Must be a member of the Kansas Golf Association.
