Kentucky Senior Am: Woods victorious

LOUISVILLE, KY (Aug 23, 2011) -- The final round of the 2011 KSGA Senior Amateur Championship wrapped up today at Big Spring Country Club. The Senior Amateur was broken down into age flights as well as a Championship Flight. The winner of the Championship Flight and Overall Champion of the tournament was Don Wood of Louisville, KY who had rounds of 75-72 for a 147 with Laurence Woods of Louisville, KY finishing as the runner-up with scores of 75-74 for a 149.

Men's 65-69 - Jim Shepherd
Men's 70 & Older - Roger Peoples

ABOUT THE Kentucky Senior Amateur

Format is 36 holes of stroke play with Senior, Mid- Senior, Masters, and Legends divisions at both gross and net.

Entrants in all KGA tournaments shall be required to have an active Handicap Index at a Kentucky Golf Association Member Club at the time of entry and meet the championship’s residency requirements.
