Miller Claims Kansas Junior Match Play Title

DODGE CITY, KS (July 30, 2011) -- Myles Miller, Wellington, seems to enjoy golf in western Kansas. First claiming the individual title at the Junior Section Team Championship on Wednesday, he then won four consecutive matches over the next two days to become Junior Match Play Champion on Friday.

In the championship match he defeated Russell's Jordan Hecker 3 & 2. 

Zach Kirby, Dodge City, placed third after ousting Harrison Morris in extra holes.

ABOUT THE Kansas Junior Match Play

Open to junior golfers who are under the age of 20 or recently graduated from high school. You may be enrolled, but you must not be an active full-time college student taking 12 credit hours or more. Must be a resident of the State of Kansas with one exception: if you reside outside the State of Kansas, but live in a bordering state you may join the KJGA and compete in KJGA events.
