Greenwood Invitational: Ramey wins in playoff
GREENWOOD, Miss. (July 10, 2011) -- A playoff was needed to determine the champion of the 64th Greenwood Invitational. Chad Ramey of Fulton, Miss. chipped in for eagle on the first playoff hole to defeat past-champion Billy Brozovich and claim the title of Greenwood Invitational Champion.
After getting off to a disappointing start with a 9 on the first hole, Ramey demonstrated nerves of steel to battle back with an eagle and five birdies to post a one-under 71. His tournament total of 207 was nine-under-par.
