Tennessee Four-Ball: Final results
VONORE, Tenn. (June 26, 2011) -- While the forecast looked bleak to start the morning, the rains stayed away and sunshine reigned at the Links at Kahite on the final day of the 2011 Four-Ball & Senior Four-Ball Championships. It proved to be just the remedy for a week plagued by delays as the golf played was superb.

The morning semi-finals in the Four-Ball Championship saw Spencer Provow (Murfreesboro) & Craig Smith (Nashville) advance as well as Steven Fox (Hendersonville) & Steve Lee (Gallatin). In the final, Provow & Smith took a 3 up lead after Smith hit his third shot on the par 6 ninth to several inches. Ultimately that lead provided to be too much as Provow & Smith closed out the championship with a 4&2 victory.

The outcome of the Senior Four-Ball Championship came down to the last hole as Bill Argabrite & Tony Green (Kingsport) captured the title with a 1-up victory. Needing only to halve the eighteenth, Green secured the title with a two putt birdie. This is the third TGA Championship for Argabrite, winner of the 1979 State Amateur and 1980 State Open, and second for Green, winner of the 2008 Senior Match Play.
