New Jersey Amateur: Sanders wins by one shot
BEDMINSTER, NJ (June 9, 2011) -- David Sanders shot a final-round 2-under 70 to sneak past Benjamin Smith by one shot.
Sanders, a Laurel Creek CC member, finished the four-day event at 284, besting Smith, a member at Little Mill CC, by one shot.
Myke Hyland, another Little Mill CC member, was three shots back along side Pat Wilson of Panther Valley Golf and Country Club.
Hyland's third-round 67 was the lowest round of the tournament.

ABOUT THE New Jersey State Amateur
Open to male amateurs who have qualified through
one of three qualifying sites or have met the
exemption criteria. Format is 72 holes of stroke play
with a cut to the low 40 scores after the second
round.
