FAIRFIELD, CA (August 21, 2005) -- Champions of both divisions of the 2005 Fairfield City Championship really earned their trophies, as sudden death playoffs were required to settle ties (both divisions at 143). Al Bello defeated Jim Porter for the Championship on the second hole of sudden death.

In the Senior Division, Shelly Washburn took longer to his playoff, but he did it with an exclamation mark as he eagle the par-4 fourth hole with an eagle 2. Not much opponent Frank Abbot could do about that one!
