Nebraska 4-Ball: Minzel, Tridle win in playoff
Nebraska City, Neb. (May 15, 2011) -- Travis Minzel and Scott Tridle, both of Lincoln claimed the 10th Nebraska Four-Ball Championship Sunday following a two-hole play-off with 2006 champions David Easley of Lincoln and Joel Wisdom of Omaha. Both teams finished the 36-hole better ball competition at 7-under par 137.
Omaha golfers Steve Redlin and Nick Vondrak finished 3rd (139) posting the day's low round of 67. Another Omaha team, Robb Mullin and Kirby Smith finished fourth (141).
In other championship action, Craig Bakke of Bellevue and Craig Beck of Springfield won the Directors flight by 3 shots following a final round 69 (144).
In the net portion, Omaha golfers Duane Maciejewski and Kelly Koch won the title by six shots over David Breetzke of Lincoln and Michael Breetzke of Omaha. Maciejewski and Koch finished at 9-under par 135.
