ST. LOUIS, MO (May 15, 2011) -- Justin Bryant played the equivalent to 1-under par for 16 holes in the Match Play Championship Final Match to capture the 16th Metropolitan Match Play Title. Bryant, who won the Metropolitan Junior Championship in 2006, adds the Match Play title to his resume.

Berkmeyer, the top seed in the bracket, was playing in his sixth consecutive Final Match in the Match Play Championship. He captured three of those finals and five total Match Play Championships, two of which were the former Taylor Cup at Boone Valley Golf Club.

Bryant would complete this remarkable run by first defeating No. 2 Seed John Anderson in the morning Semifinal 2&1. This after playing 40 holes of golf in Saturday's opening two rounds. Bryant defeated the top 3 seeds in capturing the 2011 title.
