Florida Shootout: Midtgaard, Williams Win
BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. (May 15, 2011) -- Thomas Midtgaard and Pete Williams battled windy conditions to capture the Two-Man Shoot-Out title winning at the Bonita Bay Club in Bonita Springs on May 14-15.

Midtgaard and Williams captured the Championship with a tournament total of 13-under par 203. In the first round of modified alternate shot on the Creekside Course, the pair posted an even par round of 72. Playing a scramble on the par 72 Bay Island Course in the second round, Midtgaard and Williams recorded a solid eight-under par 64 to trail by one stroke heading into the final round. Playing a Four-Ball in the final round on the Bay Island Course, the pair went on to fire a five-under par 67 to secure the Championship by just one stroke. Andrew Kennedy and Brad Schmidt, finished tied for second place with a tournament total of 204 with rounds of 74-63-67. The team of Spencer Cole and Harrison Winger also finished in second place with rounds of 73-62-69.

The field of 50 teams played three competitive rounds consisting of modified alternate shot, two-man scramble and the final 18 holes of four-ball. The first round was played on the Creekside Course, with the last two round played on the Bay Island Course.

ABOUT THE Florida Two-Man Shootout

The Two-Man Shoot-Out is a unique Championship combining modified alternate shot, two-man scramble and four-ball formats. Each round is considered a separate competition with prizes being awarded for each, as well as an overall winner for the Championship.

Open to male amateur golfers. One entrant must be at least 16 years of age as of the first day of the Championship, and both entrants must be FSGA members.
