Georgia Super Senior Championship: 3 at the top
CARTERSVILLE, Ga. (April 12, 2011) -- There is a three-way tie at the top of the leaderboard after the opening round of the Georgia Super Senior Championship, as Bill Ploeger of Columbus, Boyd Johnson of Statesboro and past champion Matt O'Brien of Decatur all carded even-par 72 at Cartersville Country Club.
Ploeger and Johnson are playing out of the Championship flight, while O'Brien, who won this event in 2009, leads the first flight. Defending champion Spencer Sappington of Milton posted a 77 and sits just outside the top 10.
The final round of the Super Senior Championship gets underway at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday.
