Hudgins/Wiley win Senior Temple Cup

LUFKIN, Texas (April 9, 2011) -- After three two-man teams tied at 15-under, the six players headed to the first hole of Crown Colony Country Club for a sudden-death playoff to decide the 2011 Senior Temple Cup.

Jerry Hudgins of Houston, playing with partner Bill Wiley of Bryan, Texas helped his team make short of that playoff by sticking his third shot to a foot and making the easy birdie.

Thanks to the Crown Colony pro shop for providing top results - a complete list of players and scores will be posted by Tuesday 4/12.

ABOUT THE Temple Senior Cup

A popular 54-hole four ball invitational played on one of the best courses in Texas. The Temple Cup Senior originated from the Temple Cup, with the first playing in 1989. The tournament honors Arthur Temple, a highly successful businessman in the timber and paper goods industry, whose vision resulted in the creation of Crown Colony Country Club. The two tournaments have been played in separate months in the past but will be combined over 4 days for 2012.
