ALBANY, Ga. ---- The top six seeds all won their opening-round matches to advance in the Championship bracket in the inaugural Georgia Senior Women's Match Play Championship, taking place April 4-6 at Doublegate Country Club in Albany.

Top seed Brenda Pictor of Marietta posted the most lopsided victory of the day, a 8-and-6 win over Sharon Danville of Alpharetta. Four of the eight Championship flight matches, however, went to extra holes.

In the first flight, Diana Scott of Atlanta used an 8-iron to make a hole-in-one on the 95-yard 16th hole, winning her match, 3 and 2, over Albany's Sue Woods.

Tuesday's schedule calls for quarterfinal and semifinal matches in the Championship and Championship Consolation flights. All numbered flights (and consolations) will play semifinal matches. See pairings listed below. All final matches take place on Wednesday, April 6.
