RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA (Feb. 27, 2011) -- Blake Nicolai of Long Beach posted 71 on Sunday to win the 2011 Rancho Santa Margarita Amateur by a single stroke over Eric Engelbert and Rick Taniguchi (72) at the Tijeras Creek Golf Club in South Orange County.
"I had a pretty steady round," commented Nicolai after the round. "The greens were quick but the pins were fair. I hit a lot of greens and recovered well when I hit it in trouble."
