California Community College Women's Championship-Canyons Lead

Tammy Panich of Glendale College and Sacramento City College's Kayla Riede each shot a 2-over par 76 to share the lead at the California Community College Athletic Association Women's Golf State Championships on the first day of the 36-hole, two-day event held on the north course at the Los Serranos Country Club.

Canyons shot a first-day team total of 330 while Sacramento was three strokes back at 333 and Irvine Valley was within striking distance at 335.

The CCCAA Golf State Championships will conclude on Tuesday, November 16 afternoon at Los Serranos. The players start teeing off at 10:00 a.m.

ABOUT THE California Community College Women's Championship

36 holes of stroke play. The top two teams from Northern California and Southern California as well as several individuals whose teams did not qualify vie for the State Championship.
